Developer: Google
The version 4.1 of Google maps mobile version has been released!
It includes a Search by Voice command! Search by voice lets you easily search for anything by simply speaking your search terms instead of typing them. The other addition in this version is the redesigned settings page with Search by voice language choices.

The version 4.0 adds a "Post and view real-time messages & photos at places around the world" function - Google Buzz.
For the moment, Buzz is just implemented as another Layer in Google Maps for Symbian existing system.

The version 3.2.0, adds a 'Layers' feature which helps organise the information displayed on top of the map (including the existing Latitude, Driving Directions and Traffic functionality).

The layers functionality can be accessed from the Options menu (or pressing '2'). The initial screen allows you to see and control the active layers, as well as reload a recently viewed layers.

How to Backup and Restore Contacts, Files and Other Settings from your Nokia Mobile Phone

It’s always good to have a backup copy of your contacts and other files and settings of your mobile phone so that if something goes wrong, you just need not worry about losing your data. Rather, you can just click and restore the created backup to your mobile phone and work seamlessly again!

Here’s how you can backup contacts, files and other settings from your Nokia mobile phone:

First, download the latest version of the Nokia PC Suite from here and install it. Connect your mobile phone and let the drivers install themselves
Once that is done, launch the PC Suite by clicking on the PC Suite icon
Click on the Backup icon on the PC Suite

A dialog window should popup. Select your mobile phone from the drop down list, and then click on the ‘Backup’ icon

Now, check the stuff that you wish to be backed up from your Nokia mobile, it could be anything from contacts list to messages to files on the memory card

Press the Next arrow
Now, specify a location on your computer where the backup should be saved

Press the Next arrow. The backup process should begin now

When the backup is finished, you’ll get a confirmation that everything went right. Click close to exit

To restore the backup to your mobile phone:
Click on the Restore button in the Nokia Contents copier, select the backup file and proceed

All backed up settings will be restored to the mobile phone

That’s how you do it!

Updating Nokia Mobile Phone Firmware

UHere I’ll tell you the things you need to do in order to update the embedded firmware in your Nokia cell phone.

Things to do before a firmware update:
Install Nokia PC Suite, and back up all the stuff from your phone to your computer.
Charge your phone battery to its full level.
Beware that any hindrance (like power off, etc.) during the update process can damage your phone.

Let’s get started.
In your Nokia mobile phone, type in *#0000#
Your Nokia mobile will now display the firmware version it’s running
Carefully open the back case of your mobile, and also take away the battery.
Note the product number down
Go here and type the product number. You’ll now know if a new version of firmware for your Nokia mobile phone is available
Download the Nokia Software Updater. Click here to download it
Install the Nokia Software Updater (I think it’s recommended to run it if you have more than 256 MB of RAM on your computer)
Connect your Nokia mobile phone via the USB port, and also make sure your computer is connected to the internet
Run the Nokia Software Updater by clicking on the icon on your desktop
The Nokia Software Updater connects to the internet, checks for updates, and then detects your phone to start installing firmware updates for your Nokia phone
You might see some fuzzy things going on in your Nokia phone, and that’s perfectly normal to happen during a firmware update
When all’s done, the updater gives a confirmation message and then the phone restarts
You can now disconnect the phone from the computer

That’s how you upgrade your Nokia mobile phone’s firmware. Let me know in the comments if you have any question.

Hack Nokia E51 with Firmware 300.34.56 – Install Unsigned Applications

Do this mod at your own risk, you may damage your phone

1. Sign and install MapDrives v1.00 DiskAdmin Unsigned.sis
2. Install Jbak TaskMan 1.00
3. Copy MapDrives.txt to E:\(there was one existed, just cover it)
4. Copy your installserver to E:/Hack/sys/bin/installserver.exe(you must create yourself)
5. Start JBak Taskman software and go (Menu -> Tools -> Program start -> search & select MapDrives -> Press More -> Programs Rule -> select “AutoStart” -> OK)
6. Restart your phone.
7. Delete MapDrives (completely exit the software JBak Taskman before delete Mapdrives)and install MapDrive_JBakTM_EMU_Y (for N82, N95, N95-8GB, E71 (all phones with Y: drive, else, choose MapDrive_JBakTM_EMU_Y if you have H: )) and then start the app.(I recommanded install H,because it gave the cer. error when I installed Y)
8. Install Modo(some people say you must modify the system date, for example,2008-08-09 or ahead, but I don’t need) and copy Installserver to C:/sys/bin/
9. Have fun!
